"To create their pages (or ‘cards,’ as Tactilize likes to call them), users can import images from Facebook, Instagram, Dropbox, Box, Picasa, Flickr and a number of other services (including FTP and WebDAV for advanced users). The in-app editor itself allows you to easily move, resize and rotate images, videos and text fields on the page and with a bit of patience and practice, the resulting pages can be very attractive and look just as good as some of the best iPad magazines. Once your page is done, you can use the app’s Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest integration to spread the word about it (including links to the web versions of your pages).

The Tactilize team expects that users will use the app to “publish a full interactive eBook, create an impressive press kit, or use Tactilize to bring your blog to the next level. (…)”

Creativity at your Fingertips

On a Friday night in June, the 21st to be exact, we decided to offer you the chance to fully enter into the age of instant publishing on iPad, easily sharable, and free. We had been developing a tool accessible to everyone for more than 9 months. So why must we limit its use with a selective price?

Thanks to Tactilize you’ll soon be able to create your own interactive pages – made up of texts, images, video, sounds and buttons – on the iPad, for free. You no longer have to choose between photography, video, audio or text. All are available. We offer you 3,145,728 pixels to instantly express your creativity. More than in reality!

To sum up: Tactilize is a free iPad application, which will be available in the AppStore beginning in August, 2012 (in private beta). Tactilize allows discovering, sharing, buying, publishing, and selling all forms of editorial multimedia content (music, video, etc.) or any creative content, directly on the iPad, in a dedicated format offering an optimal experience.

Organized in pages (“cards”) and freely arrange in “collections” (groupings of cards), your works will be available to all Tactilize users, and shareable on the web (Twitter, Facebook, email, etc.)

Tactilze responds the three strong needs:

  • An immersive navigation experience specifically designed for iPad.

Tactilize offers a navigation experience that is truly “native,” fluid, and developed specifically for iPad. It is a response to the “post-url” world, and to new “tactile” online navigation forms that do not rely only on clicking or scrolling, and which iPad users are fond of.

  • A multiplication of cultural content in an enriched format.

In terms of cultural content, the AppStore offerings remain despairingly limited. However, the screen quality, reading comfort and optimal navigation experience that iPad offers are particularly adapted to cultural consumption. Tactilize paves the way for all content creators or holders to easily distribute their creations and materials to targeted iPad audiences, without any specialized technical knowledge, in a native format.

  • A new way to share and to distribute quality content.

Tactilize allows any creator to publish his or her content and to share it, within the app, with all friends, without limits. And of course, you can also share your pages and collections on social networks (Facebook, Twitter, etc.). Instantly. Freely.

For professional needs, Tactilize enables artists as well as publishing and media professionals (books, music, cinema, press, TV, etc.) to interact with their public and then to commercialize their works as well as the ensemble of their content (special editions, photo-reports, video-concerts, filmographies, etc.) with Apple “in-app” purchases. Over 450 million accounts with pre-registered credit cards are already in the Apple ecosystem and 67 million households are equipped with the iPad, with an average expenditure of $16 to $20/month per user.

So that’s it. You know, our team created Tactilize because we were fed-up with simply being spectators on the iPad, fed-up with reading mostly web pages that were poorly adapted to the screen, and fed-up with not having solution to simply monetize the beautiful content we all deliver. So if you share this feeling, welcome to the new iPad content Network. Welcome to Tactilize.
